It was beautiful out Sunday evening as the weather was cooler, preparing for the rain to come. We enjoyed some wonderful family time outside! A few pics I snapped of the kids...

We had a pretty uneventful weekend, which was nice. It rained Saturday and Sunday mornings, but we were still able to enjoy a trip to the pool on Saturday, even though the water was cold! Since it was wet outside, the kids were stuck inside for a bit. They decided to get their costumes out and dress up!

Papa got Ethan his very own 4-wheeler for his 5th birthday. He was quite excited to receive this wonderful gift in Nebraska and is a good little driver. Mom was a little nervous about this adventure, but Ethan and Papa are very safe and cautious using it. Ethan was very ecstatic to tell me that it takes real gas and has real keys!! I think Papa even put him to work using it by moving some brush.

Ethan's 5th Birthday!

In Ethan's words "I have been waiting to go to a baseball game my entire life." We got Ethan tickets to the KC Royals vs. St. Louis Cardinals game in June. He is very excited since he has been waiting to go his entire life!

We celebrated Ethan's 5th birthday on Sunday! We all had a great time. Hard to imagine he is already 5, such a big guy now!

Olivia went down the big slide all by herself. Carried her blanket up all of the stairs and went down, she was so proud of herself!

Anchor Fest is Centralia's annual celebration with many fun filled rides. The kids had a great time. Ethan and Olivia both wanted to ride all the "daring" rides that I never would of expected Olivia to enjoy. Their favorite was the octupus ride that went high in the air and spinned a lot. It gave mommmy butterflies, but they just laughed the entire time!

On Saturday, we went to the Centralia pool with Jane, our friend from Kansas City. The water was a little cold, but we had a great time.

Birthday in Nebraska

Ethan and Grandpa Ficken had a birthday celebration in Nebraska. Ethan turned 5 on June 1 and Grandpa Ficken turned 80 on June 2. What a great way to celebrate!

Shame on me!

Ok, So I have been terrible at updating this blog lately. The Adam's household has been very busy lately. Beware this my get a little lengthy! Let me fill you in on some of the happenings and post some pics...
-Darren and I went to Vegas for five days in May with some friends of ours. We had a great time and it was nice to get a way for awhile. It was very hot in Vegas but we enjoyed the sun. We rented motorcycle's and rode to Hoover Dam. It was a great trip and my first trip to Vegas so we were able to catch a lot of the great sites.
-Memorial Day weekend we moved into a new house! We were fortunate to sell our house that we lived in for 4 1/2 years (about two years too many for my realtor husband) and moved to a new house. We love the new house and the kids are enjoying it also. We traded houses with the people that bought ours, so it is a temporary place for us. We are planning on building a new house within the next few months in the new subdivision that Darren is "creating."
-Friday before Memorial Day we drove to Cameron to meet Nana and Papa. Ethan and Olivia had the joy of spending a week at Nana and Papa's house in Nebraska. They had a great time and enjoyed being spoiled on the farm. Ethan also got his birthday present from Nana and Papa which was his very own 4 wheeler. He loved riding it and can't wait to go back to Nebraska to ride it again.
-When Ethan and Olivia returned, we celebrated Ethan's 5th birthday and enjoyed the annual Anchor Fest celebration in Centralia. We have friends visit from out of town along with my parents and had a great time. Hard to believe Ethan is 5 already, my how time flies. Seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital.
